We're in the planning stages for our 2nd shade structure: a vegetable washing pavilion and outdoor dining room for the Concord Farm along south Meridian Street.
Here, Michael & Donna discuss the design with Mark and Amy of Concord. Plans include Dome Fabric, rainwater collection, mobile tables & bins, and lots of shaded space!
Our first Dome Shade Structure was installed a few weeks ago at the Community Outreach Center at 23rd and Guilford.
Huge thanks to Tammi Golden (COC), Wil Marquez (w/purpose), & Brian McCutcheon and Randy Domeck (Indianapolis Fabrications).
Tammi has a lot more great things planned for this lot, including additional seating and a garden in the back.
PUP was featured in this week's Metromix! Check out the article here or grab a copy at your closest news stand. Thanks to the writing of Matt Gonzales, the photography of Michelle Pemberton, and the generous comments by Aaron Renn (the Urbanophile) and Brian Payne (CICF).

With 17 other Indianapolis leaders, we checked out Portland's urban landscape, including streetcars, light rail, food carts, etc. We're hoping that carsharing is one of the first of these kinds of initiatives that we can bring to Indianapolis.
