We believe in an environmentally responsible city that promotes sustainable building practices, energy use reduction, and proper resource consumption. For us, environmental awareness is not only about curbing our carbon footprint, it is also about improving our quality of life. This includes bike-to-work programs, public art initiatives, improved recycling options, and material repurposing.

Currently, with some of the worst air and water quality in the nation, Indiana is the 49th least green state, ahead only of West Virginia. Additionally, Indianapolis has one of the highest carbon footprints per person anywhere in the country. As the 13th largest city in the nation, and the premiere city in Indiana, we believe that we cannot delay in improving our policies and actions.

Though all of our projects have an environmental component, the initiatives included here are specifically focused on reducing urban waste and promoting material reuse. The repurposing of the former RCA Dome roof material is a powerful example of how responsible environmental choices can improve our impact on nature and our urban quality of life.
